------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Feb 21 19:14:11 -0800 2005 ------- Steps to reproduce. 1. Open a new document (either by clicking File > New > Text Document or by starting OOo Writer. 2. Click the open button and select a text document file and open this. 3. A new window appears with the document, leaving a second window (the original window) open in the background. What should happen: If you are opening a document using a window with a new, unmodified document of the same kind then the document being opened should replace that document and use the same window. A good example of this behavior is gedit on the linux platform. This might be related to this bug (http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=43289) in that if OOo thinks the document has already been modified then it should open the document in a second window, so OOo needs to get this right too. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
