------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Aug 21 09:14:33 -0700 2006 ------- RTF specification says the second image representation is needed (in the \shprslt). It is true, that omiting this causes no trouble on Word97+ neither OOo. And is shortens the file significantly (since the second image is non- compressed hex-encoded!) But it is meant as fallback when opening application has not a knowledge of bliptype (like it do not have PNG decoder and png image is inserted) [Word have png decoder from Word97, so not a problem with Word interop!] We are happily ignoring metafile image on our output, but it is "proprietary" software. I dont think, it is good idea to suppress this on general-usage application like OOo. Not for default, for sure, but some switch could be useful. Or new export filter like "RTF for new applications". btw: all Word versions (up to 2003) emits those wmetafile images. edit: spec says exactly this: "This is where the Word 6.0 and Word 95 drawn object RTF can be placed.". Notice the word "can"! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
