2006 -------
Openoffice has a way to deploy macros and menu items using unopkg. This program
can be run in a batch of from the menu (Tools->Package Manager).
1: The menu item should give a popup with the package manager, which does not
happen
The batch program crashes with the following error:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add MyHelloWorld.zip
ERROR: (com.sun.star.lang.WrappedTargetRuntimeException) { { { Message =
"[context=\"user\"] caught unexpected exception!", Context =
(com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) 0x0 } }, TargetException = (any) {
(com.sun.star.registry.InvalidRegistryException) { { Message = "Couldn't create
registry
file:///home/robert/.openoffice.org2/user/uno_packages/cache/registry/com.sun.star.comp.deployment.component.PackageRegistryBackend/common.rdb
for writing", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) 0x0 } } } }
unopkg failed.
It looks like these two issues are related.
The openoffice distribution is the Ubuntu dapper and edgy distribution
