Did the office version come as part of the Linux Disttribution? In this case the
failure might be part of this build done by Suse. I would recommend to download
the latest office version from the original OOo website. There were some
problems in the past with builds done by some distributors were we cannot do
anything about it.
With the official version 2.0.3 and your grid settings and document I could not
reproduce the problem on Fedora Core 5. You can also move the rectangle with the
cursor keys to keep it aligned.
SHIFT+Drag works in version 2.0.2 , too.
