Hi,
this is not a defect. Value highlighting is a powerfull tool for debugging
Spreadsheets and therefore not designed to be active all time. If you save it
with the document you may corrupt some cell formattings especially for font
colors.
Nevertheless you can switch it on permanently by using
Tools-options-spreadsheet-view-Value Highlighting.
