Strange.. also en_US and other locales are affected, it seems to fail for
locales where the date separator is identical to the decimal separator, being a
dot '.'. Note that this happens only if the dot is entered as the date
separator, using one of the other common separators, '-' or '/', works fine.
Grabbing issue.
