at the moment I can't reproduce this problem anymore...
the following entry in the forum of the german website www.ubuntuusers.de states
that the problem is a special package (gtk2-engines-gtk-qt) which seems to be
responsible for this behaviour...
Well, I can't reproduce this anymore but this package is installed on my
system...
I'm going to close this issue now...
