OK, I figured out how to choose a format for each column,
which, incidentally, is not obvious from the Text Import
dialog box. A line of explanation about what to do with
that "stuff" at the bottom of the window might be nice.
A broader question is, "What are those double quotes in my
data good for, anyway?" Double quotes or single quotes may
be chosen as "text delimiters." If I have chosen a "text
delimiter," and put it around my data, shouldn't that data
then be treated as TEXT ??
