I have reproduced this error using the following steps.
1 - Create a new writer document
2 - Enter text and then highlight it
3 - Right click the highlighted text and select the font menu item
4 - Select the "Hidden" attribute
5 - Save the document
6 - Unzip the file just saved and inspect the content.xml file
7 - Notice the style for the hidden font - example below
<style:style style:name="P1" style:family="paragraph"
style:parent-style-name="Standard">
<style:text-properties fo:background-color="transparent"
text:display="true"/>
text:display is true for the style of the hidden text.
