------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 13 01:45:55 -0700 2006 ------- Thank you for your attention. I was simply opening the "notes_2006" ODS file, and switching to Sheet 3, the first one with a chart. I did not have a chance to type anything into the file before it crashed. In fact, I realized later that something was wrong in may installation. OpenOffice (OO) was updated to version 2.0.2 by the "core" repository of Fedora <http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-$releasever>, and **concurrently** with the RPMS for version 2.0.3 found on the OO site. For some reason, the rpms of these two origins conflict one with each other, so that the Fedora rpm does not realize that version 2.0.3 is already installed, and it re-installs version 2.0.2 on top of version 2.0.3. The openoffice-core file is a single file on Fedora, while it is splitted into numbered pieces on the OO repository. Therefore, I cleaned-up everything and re-installed version 2.0.3 from the original OO RPMS files, and now it works fine. Yet, it looks rather strange to me that an error is possible at the libc level...
