I often have to search for multiple carriage returns, especially in texts
imported from text editors, and replace them with just one CR or something else.
I tried ^$^$^$ or ^${3} but neither works. Am I missing something or does the
regular expression subset you are using lack this feature altogether? I suppose
\r, which is used by several text editors, would be a logical choice for CR.
