------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 14 18:12:28 -0700 2006 ------- I use customized colors, on my Windows machine, because I am from the age of green screens. I like light on dark. Not dark on bright. Particularly at night. That said, in the windows version of OOo Writer [under Windows XP SP2], the icons for Align Left, Right, Centered, Justified, Numbering On/Off, Bullets On/Off, Non Printing Characters, Italic are all unreadable/unviewable. If I hover my cursor over the item, it tells me what it is supposed to be. Also, the arrow to the right of Table, and the arrows for the drop downs next to Font Color, Highlighting, and Background color are also barely visible. The arrows for the toolbars at the extreme right of each toolbar are easily viewable. The main text entry window picks up the colours from my system theme just fine, as do the drop down menus. It is only the previously mentioned icons that have problems. This could be a combination of my color preferences and the way the UI is implemented. I am willing to jiggle settings this way and that for testing purposes, and I can also submit screenshots so you can see my problem. This could potentially be handled by a feature request to implement themes in an upcoming OOo, because as I've said, I don't buy into dark text on a bright background. Anyone who does programming for zillions of hours, or was around the days of VT100 terminals and TRS-80's is likely to also want to have light objects/text/etc on a dark background. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
