------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 19 04:49:41 -0700 2006 ------- Hm. I've tried a m183 (rc3 with some more CWSs), versus a OOC_m7 (2.0.3), on Debian unstable (X.org 7.0, nv driver). There was really no discernible difference, during the first run, on both versions the animations on slide 14 were slow. On the second run, both versions showed much increased frame rates on that slide (I very much assume caching in the X server to kick in there). Insofar, cannot reproduce. From past experience, I should add that driver quality really makes a difference here. I've had much better frame rates with the closed-source nvidia driver. @all: would be really valuable to a) know which version exactly broke that (from the pre-OOD developer milestones) b) make sure performance is really compared on the same grounds (i.e. obtaining the builds you compare from exactly the same source (to rule out e.g. cairocanvas in one of the versions), starting both offices from scratch, loading the presentation from scratch, etc.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
