------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 26 01:54:57 -0700 2006 ------- I found a very strange Mail Merge problem. I described here http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=42563 that Mail Merge becomes slow after merging lots of documents. I now know a lot more. I found this: When performing a mail merge eached merged document is shown in a new window before it gets saved and the window closes again. The first 100 documents show very fast, in a window that looks like the first attachment (before_100.jpg). But after 100 (and exactly 100) documents the 'preview' changes to a version with a toolbar, shown in the second attachement (after_100.jpg, don't mind the ugly colors). This toolbar version shows much slower than the one without. And worse, it gets slower and slower after merging lots of documents. And now this: when I use the GTK version of OpenOffice.org the toolbar is always there in the 'preview', also for the first 100 documents. And above all, the GTK version doesn't slow down as the normal version does! Appending '--widgets-set gtk' to the 'openoffice' command also suffices. This also gives mail merge previews with a toolbar that doesn't slow down, but with the 'normal' layout. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
