Hi,
Excel 2003 shows a green sign in the upper left corner of mostly each cell in
column E indicating a smart tag. This tag says Number stored as text. So these
cells are text.
To convert them in Calc use 'find and replace' with regular expressions and
selection enabled on column E. The find field should contain '.*' without the
quote, the replace field '&' also without the quote.
