This is a DUP of issue 50621, where you will find how to add the numbering in
'Additional comments from regina Sat Jun 11 16:16:51 -0700 2005'.
I believe the behaviour from 1.1.4, where the numbering (Short Name) was
included in the standard bibliography index formatting, was more user friendly.
