------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Feb 23 07:22:06 -0800 2005 ------- My problem is the following: if I use the generic characters option in the "Edit/find & replace procedure" and I want to replace say "87" or "97" by "8" or "9": I use "([8-9])7" in the find window, but if I use "\1" in the replace window (as in MS Word and as suggested in the help file on generic charcaters about the use of () ), it just replaces "87" or "97" by "\1". Is this a bug or is there another way to do this? Sincerely, F.
