I created a doc-document with German MS Word97. Take the document and in WinXP explorer open "Eigenschaften" (Engl. Properties) from the context menu. Go to the tab "Dateiinfo" (Engl. file info). See that there are many entries. Now open this document with OOo2.0.4, work on it and then save it in doc-format. Again open in WinXP explorer context menu "Eigenschaften" tab "Dateiinfo". All is empty. Try to edit a property, which is marked as writable. It is not possible. Now open the Word document with OOo1.1.5, work on it and save it in doc-format. Again open in WinXP explorer context menu "Eigenschaften" tab "Dateiinfo". You can see, that some properties are lost, but many of the properties are still there. Try to edit a property, which is marked as writable. You have no problem to do that. You see it is a regression.
