2006 -------
Steps to demonstrate issue:
1. In a new Writer document enter a line of text.
2. Select one of the words in the line of text and click on the Highlighting
button on the formatting toolbar (the text will be highlighted).
3. Press the [Esc] key to unload the highlighting tool.

Result:  Pressing [Esc] does not terminate highlighting tool function. Any text
entered from this point on will be highlighted with either the default fill
color or the user applied fill color.
