Verified in CWS icuupgrade. ICU 3.6 we use now doesn't need this patch anymore.
However, it introduced another place in the sameICU file source/common/putil.c
that makes a new patch necessary, I'll attach. This is part of the
icu/icu-3.6.patch file. Compiling on a Solaris 10 machine against a Solaris 8
baseline works fine now.
