E-9 n (nano) E-6 ยต (micro) E-3 m (milli) [E-2 c (centi)] [E-1 d (deci)] E3 k (kilo) E6 M (mega) E9 G (giga) E12 T (Terra) ... Whil you can write those as text right now, you cannot use arithmetic on such strings. Thus the desire for such a numbering format.
