------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 25 05:00:52 -0700 2006 ------- - extract the attached zip file to a directory of your choice - open the database document (.odb) you just extracted - on the left hand side, select the "Tables" category - double click the "linked text" table to open it for data entry - go to the very last row, and insert " (the quote character) into the first column - move down one row, this way inserting a new record - add another record, containing 1 in the first column, and " (the quote character) in the second column - save the record - close the table data view - close the database document - re-open the database document - select "Tables" on the left hand side => and error message pops up saying that the connection to the database could not be established. The "More" button tells that there's a problem when setting the table source for the "linked text" table. Effectively, this means that an innocent change the user does at the UI renders the complete database useless (unless manually repaired with a ZIP tool, or in the .csv file). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
