It's probably a string conversion problem, according to the message...
Unfortunately I have been unable to reproduce the problem:
- SuSE 10.1, OOo 2.0.2, KDE 3.5.1 level "a" running in a VMware
- OOo started from a konsole with "swriter"
added "Registration" to help menu
clicked on it
- only "Launched ok, pid=2047" appears.
@of: what's your version of KDE?
@obr: I will try to update to OOo 2.0.4 on the machine with SuSE 10.1, but if
I still can't reproduce the bug, I will only be able to examine the few lines
of code before calling kfmclient to see how strings are passed... Can you
point me at them? But I would be debugging "in the dark".
