I second this being an important issue. The default numbering is ridiculous--why
would you want to have the numbering at the second level stay the same? (e.g.,
list with 1. on first level, and 1. on second level, instead of letters or roman
numerals). The default numbering style should be more consistent with other word
processing programs, and I agree that it should be easy to set the default
numbering. Especially helpful for outlining/taking notes.
