I think I have also identified and solved the problem. Reference: http://qa.mandriva.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/XDGMenuSystem (section "Mandriva categories"). It seems that the paths are OK but the category names have been changed. I have solved the problem changing the "Categories" items in the .desktop files of openoffice.org-mandriva-menus, according to the corresponding items found in the Mandriva's openoffice.org 2.0.3 package.
