SBA->FME: As discussed, this was OK in OOo 2.03. => Regression in OOo 2.04.
Variation: Open .doc file
- select all
- tools - Word count
-> 10 words / 45 chars "in current selection", 0 words / 0 chars "in entire
document".
An easier workaround than to save as .odt:
- [after loading a .doc file]
- insert a character and delete it again.
-> Then the document statistics tell the correct amount of words and characters,
as well as Tools-Word count.
