------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Nov 1 08:49:55 -0800 2006 ------- Okay, the problem was apparently a Java issue. I checked the Option -> Java settings and I noticed that I have two runtime environments installed: Sun Microsystems Inc., version 1.5.0_08 and Free Software Foundation, version 1.4.2. NONE of the radio buttons were checked, though. I now checked them both in turn, and OO exports correctly to xhtml with both Java versions. The problem then is solved so far. The bug hereafter lies in the fact that the radio buttons are not "initialized" upon installation in Ubuntu. It is funny because after I checked one of the buttons, I cannot leave them both unchecked at the same time -- so one needs to be checked. Anyway, since none is checked without user invention, OO does not know what Java version to use and this is the reason for the freeze up?
