I think it's not a bug, the packages *are* newer in the sense that their rpm
no's are higher. And they *do* conflict by name, to install the upstream OOo in
parallel with the "built-in" OOo isn't a good idea, the right thing to do is to
remove the fedora one and install the upstream one. so...

rpm --erase `rpm -qf /usr/lib/openoffice.org2.0|xargs`
rpm --install upstream/rpms/*rpm

I don't see that any action needs to be taken here by OOo or by fedora, OOo is
just one of a gazillion packages that come with Fedora, some of which also
provide rpms on their website for installing, but come bundled with Fedora
rebuilt with gcc4 and occasionally also additional patched. Installing their
upstream rpms while the "downstream" rpms are also installed would have the same
sort of results.
