------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Nov 2 02:15:47 -0800 2006 ------- I strongly aggre with the last comment: a quick and easy way to switch from a "classic" hand-made formatting UI to an UI with a strong emphasis on styles using two dropdown lists for paragraph and character styles at least would be a wonderfull addition and make OOo much more suitable for academic writers (and more generally for people for who consistency is a must) IMHO. but, a quick way to change formatting is also nice to have, would it be possible to keep these "bold, italic..." buttons in a modified version that would create a new style (or change the current one ?) instead of just changing formatting ? Just a crazy idea, I fear this would look inconsistent at first sight but it might prove usefull if cleanly done. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
