testing hints:
- testing on different distributions would be best, but it suffices to copy
different versions of freetype to the program directory as libfreetype.so.6
- especially test for fonts where no bold versions are available (e.g. CJK
fonts)
- also test vertical writing and rotated text
- also test without antialiased text (e.g. on an 8bit display)
