digging at the code i see that the printer discovery on Windows is unchanged
since 1997 (way before the code became OpenSource) and is based on Win16,
basically parsing win.ini for network printers. I guess it is time to change
this to use the win32 API, however a reimplemention may trigger new bugs. This
will need some intensive testing on its very own CWS (named prdiscw)
