------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Nov 22 11:36:36 -0800 2006 ------- One of the really nice things about MS Word is the toolbar "button" where you can type a view magnification into (as a number, in percent). OOo doesn't seem to have this, but instead has View -> Zoom -> Variable -> Type number -> OK, which takes a *lot* more time to invoke, and is a pain when rapidly switching between different zoom levels. I just found out that (at least on Win32), you can hold CTRL and move the scroll-wheel to adjust the zoom level. That's very useful! However, finding out that one can do this isn't easy. My suggestions: 1) In the View -> Zoom dialog box, include a piece of static text indicating the CTRL+mouse_scroll_wheel can be used, or pop up a tooltip or similar to prompt the user. and/or: 2) Add either the MS-word style editable % view box to a toolbar, and/or add Adobe Acrobat viewer-style zoom in/out buttons to a toolbar. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
