I can confirm this issue and I can reproduce it now. Thanks for your latest
comment, which helps me to understand your problem. Fastest way to reproduce:

 - save testFail.odt locally
 - open local testFail.odt
 - Save As -> http://test.webdav.org/auth-basic/
 - close it
 - open local testFail.odt
 - Save As -> http://test.webdav.org/auth-basic/

This issue is reproducible with WebDAV Apache, but it isn't reproducible with
Microsoft IIS server. When I use Microsoft IIS, a dialog window appears with
question if I want to rewrite existing file. The same dialog window should
appear with WebDAV Apache too, but general i/o error dialog appears - which is
wrong.

I'll try to compare http traffic for these two different servers today.

---

If anyone wants an access to Microsoft IIS server, drop me a note.

Changing platform to All, because it is reproducible from Linux box too.
