Hi,
I filled this major bug almost two years ago and it's still present in 2.0.4.
Thus i guess it's hard to fix, so maybe someone can make a workaround for it ?
Since pasting-layouting-printing from the web is one of my major usages of OOo,
and as it get harder and harder to use OOo 1.5 as "temporary" workaround, i'm
really annoyed by this bug which makes the whole app freeze for an unpredictable
amount of time (from dozen seconds to several minutes or infinity) on most web
page and lose your work if you had other windows opened.
Suggested workaround is that images are automatically "disconnected" after a
short while, and manually reloadable. This way at least i can recover other
office windows or give up on images instead of being plainly unable to do
anything.
