SBA: It is true that "clicking somewhere" does not immediately shrink the
selection.
But when the cursor is placed at the end of the selection, it CAN be modified.
Example:
- Text is "0123456789"
- Put cursor between 0 and 1
- Hold <Shift>
- Move selection with mouse or arrow key to have 1-6 highlighted
- Now (Keep holding <Shift>): Click on 5 -> nothing happens, as described
-> But: Click on 7, selection will change and can be dragged with the mouse to
have i.e. only "1" selected.
Summary adjusted to reflect the findings.
This is not a defect as it always worked like this in Writer. -> Type changed to
"Enhancement".
Note:
MS Word shrinks the selection as soon as one clickes into it while having
<Shift> pressed.
Reassigned to FL.
