can reproduce with the attached document, which I created by copy'n'pasting the
controls in the atttached .odb's form into a new text document.
Interestingly, with this particular text document, I can reproduce the problem
on both Windows and Linux: Change the format of the date field to "YYYY-MM-DD",
save, reload -> the format is reset to "Standard (short)".
