------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Feb 27 10:53:46 -0800 2005 ------- Sorry, no resolution - the previous procedure works only once: the default program for opening .rtf has not been set and the "Open with" list of applications is not updated to include OOo. - Next time you must again use "Open With / Choose Program" - The Open With list has invalid OpenOffice1.1.4 with no icon (see below *) or has no Ooo - At this point the file must be opened with button "Other" and locating the soffice.exe again I believe OOo is not properly registered as a Windows application which can used for opening files. *) I have not found out where the invalid path "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice. org1.1.0\my_username\program" for OpenOffice1.1.4 soffice.exe comes from. I am sure it is not in the registry or in any file in "C:\Documents and Files\my_username" (if not crypted).
