Michael: according to your blog, you have done some cleanup of MAC & OS/2 stuff
http://www.gnome.org/~michael/activity.html#2006-12-08

For OS/2 there is actually effort to bring it back to life, see cws os2port01

Could you post a link to your patch, so we could review it?

While the MAC removal is excellent, we'd like to review the code before getting
rid of it all. Specifically these parts are under investigation:

scripting/java/org/openoffice/netbeans/modules/office/filesystem/OpenOfficeDocFileSystem.java
(needed for document format compatibility?)

all stuff related to FSYS_MAC
(Mac OS X does use "Mac paths" i.e :System:Library: as well as unix paths i.e.
/System/Library/. E.g. Applescript uses both. But I don't know whether Mac paths
are relevant in OpenOffice.org

transex3 - all stuff related to TAG_MAC
(what is this?)

xmlhelp - all stuff related to System.compareToAscii( "MAC" )
(is this Mac-specific help pages? I think we could use Mac -specific help in Mac
OS X

All the stuff in helpcontent2, readlicense_oo, officecfg, sdk_oo and testtools:
especially the help related things etc..
