With the table data editor or a form, for a text (varchar / string) field.
Control and enter does not add a line break.

I believe SQL supports newlines in strings.
You can embed newlines or line breaks in spreadsheet cells which can be used as
the data source.

So the table data viewer should display line breaks
and the table data editor should allow the insertion of line breaks.
