Does this mean the entire environment would be LANG=C after configure? I think
that won't be good as it could confuse editors when loading a file where UTF-8
encoding is used, e.g. .src resource files and related. The solution would be to
set en_US.UTF-8 if available, or fall back to LANG=C only for the dmake command.
