I agree with you. As you said, translation process would take 3-4 months.
Many people in the Native-Lang projects might have concern about schedule
for 2.0 release. Are we on or behind schedule?
There are several files to which some new entries have been added recently in
the directory

e.g. One entry was added and another entry was revised on February 24, 2005.

What will happen with such files that have been recently modified.
How can we wait for 3-4 months from now on until localized versions of OOo/SO/SS
are available?
Moreover, for documentation translation, authors would have to take snapshots
again and replace old snapshots with them.
Old ones have not-yet-translated-fallback-English-resouces.
In general, untranslated entries in the menu or sub menu would not be
acceptable
for the final release and that would be considered as a showstopper.
Don't you think so?
