Used the following procedure: Downloaded 2.1 Downloaded Spanish language pack for ooo 2.1 Exit ooo and closed quickstart Installed 2.1 (had 2.0.4 installed) Installed spanish language pack Started ooo Set userinterfase language to spanish exit ooo and closed quickstart Started ooo Used wizard (1.6.2) to install spanish (spain) dictionaries (spellcheck, thesaurus, hyphenation) closed ooo and quickstart Started ooo The user language interfase was set to default, and stays that way. Have checked several alternatives.
