Before I installed, I erased all OpenOffice files via "rpm --erase" and checked to see that it was clean. I checked the checksum on the downloaded file and it was OK. I changed the directory .openoffice.org2 to .openoffice.org2.old and it now works!?#* What am I losing by dumping my old .openoffice.org2? What problem is being fixed by dumping my old .openoffice.org2? Doesn't this seem silly??? Thanks for the help!!
