I also cannot reprodue the problem. The cursor-, Del- and Backspace keys all
work properly on my OOo 2.1 on Win and Linux.
Maybe you have a corrupted configuration; quit OOo, delete the "openOffice.org2"
folder in your "Documents and Setting\Application Data" directory and start OOo.
