2007 -------
I've created a document, and it is modified by an external program.
(the external program inserted a picture into a textbox.)
<draw:frame ...>
     <draw:text-box>
        <draw:image ... />
     </draw:text-box>
</draw:frame>

The external program does not produce a correct OpenDocument file,
so it is not a problem, if OOo cannot open it. But...

When I'll try to open the wrong document with OOo 2.1 (or OOo 2.2_m199),
instead of getting an error message, OpenOffice.org crashes.
(And the OOo Document Recovery starts, and when you press the OK button,
it is crashes, and the OOo Document Recovery starts... infinite loop)

The infinite loop is not nice, but the main problem is the
chrasing of the OOo when opening an incorrect document.
