2007 -------
I'm using Base in OOo 2.1 on XP professional with an ODBC connection
to a Mimer (9.2.5B) database.
I can edit existing tables, but I cannot create new tables. I get an
error dialog.
+ Error while saving table design
+ [Mimer][ODBC Mimer Driver][Mimer SQL]Syntax error, '(' ')' assumed missing
This is followed by ~50 small squares interspersed with a few question marks.
(I'll attach i picture).
Turning on the logging functionality of the RDBMS I found that all column types
were replaced by NATIONAL VARIABLE CHARACTER without any size arguments (hence
the missing parameters).
I've tested creating tables both with "Use Wizard to Create Table" and "Create
Table in Design View..."
This seems to be very fundamental.
