This issue was successfully reproduced on systems with the following
configuration:
1. Linux 2.6.9-42.0.3 [smp #1 SMP i686 i686 i386] GNU/Linux
2. MS Windows XP Pro Ver 2000 (SP 2) [Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 1GB RAM]
Actually the problem is more general than was reported. It occurs for tables of
any row and column size.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open OpenOffice Writer
2. Choose 'File->New->Text Document' to create a new ODT document or
'File->Open...' to open an existing ODT document
3. Choose 'Table->Insert->Table...' and insert a new table with any row and
column size
4. Choose ANY cell of the table
5. Enter any text/character/image into the cell chosen in (4)
6. Choose 'Table->Insert->Table..' again to insert a new table with any row
and column size within the cell in (4) after the entered
text/character/image in (5)
7. Choose ANY cell of the table inserted in (6)
8. Right-click mouse on cell and select 'Table...' for the table format
dialog
9. Select the 'Text Flow' tab of the table format dialog
10. Check the 'Break' checkbox
11. Select 'OK' button to close the table format dialog
OpenOffice is now stuck.
After the above steps are performed, the processes running on the linux system
show the following:

Clearly, the OpenOffice executable seems to be in an infinite loop ie- hogs
the CPU.
This is a severe bug since inserting tables within tables is a common operation
that can be reasonably expected for a consumer/user to perform.
