Running on FC3 (with all updates) and GTK-2.4.

Text areas (such as the file open dialog) show a greyed out and unclear text
until the text is highlighted after which it prints the text correctly. It
almost looks as if either a checkerboard patter of pixels are removed from the
text string or the pixels are shown at random. I have had this issue since
1.9.71.

The issue also comes about with default buttons. Such as when I close a
document and it asks me to Save/Discard/Cancel. The default button has the
same drawing flaws as the aforementioned text-area. It is not until I change
the button or "tab" through the buttons that this is fixed.

As a final note, I run the GTK-Qt engine (version 0.6) but changing to a
different GTK theme does not fix the problem (the Fedora Native Bluecurve, for
example).
