@cl: If I understand this correctly, this is about the 'pen drawing' mode during
slideshow. There are indeed generated relatively few edges per stroke, at least
if I move the mouse fast enough (when drawing slowly, I can generate as smooth a
curve as in OOo1.1.x).

The underlying reason for the modified behaviour is the busy loop in
SlideShowImpl., which currently uses up considerable CPU resources. You can, at
your discretion, either retarget this bug (it's really not _that_ important), or
try to reduce CPU utilization in the busy loop, if nothing but mouse events have
to be processed.
