------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 28 10:11:14 -0800 2007 ------- If I create a document based on some template, then create a new style in that document, and then copy the style to the template via Organize, all content in the template will disappear. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Writer, creating a blank document. 2. Put some content in the document. 3. Save the document to a template. 4. Close the document. 5. Create a new document based on the new template. Note that the content from the template shows up in the new document. 6. Define a new paragraph style in the new document. 7. Use Organize to copy the new style into the template from step 3. 8. Create a new document based on that template. Note that the new document is completely empty, because all content has vanished from the template. This affects not only text content, but also formatting that is (presumably) saved among the text content, such as page style assignments: If the first (only) page in the template had a nonstandard page style assigned, that fact will be gone from the template as well.
